Symptoms of Labor Pain at the Time of Pregnancy
The reproductive system in female is planned to express various gestation in her lifetime. The various levels of fetus development are separated into three trimesters. Giving birth to a child is a natural work of the reproduction system in female. This growth generally completes after 40 weeks of last noted menstrual period. The estimation of this time is determined by calculating the menstrual period cycle of 28 days.
Pregnancy happens as the result of union of sperm and ovum in uterus. The development of this egg is divided into three trimesters which shows different stages and growth of the fetus. The first trimester has the maximum risk of miscarriage of embryo. Second trimester refers to the provable development to fetus. In third trimester, the growth of fetus is visible and the survival chances of fetus are high.
The trimesters
Doctors estimate the pregnancy time by calculating the last noted menstruation period, ovulation of egg, its fertilization and chemical detection. The time of pregnancy is influenced if the embryo gets fixed in cervix or fallopian tubes instead of uterus. Cramps and sick feeling is usual at the time of the first 12 months of pregnancy which is called first trimester. During second trimester which is between four to six months of pregnancy, the uterus enlarges up to twenty times in comparison to normal size. The fetus starts moving at this time of pregnancy. In the third trimester which is after six months of pregnancy, weight gain, fetus movement, convex naval and weakened bladder is the usual characters.
Symptoms of labor
Labor is determined by the feeling of uterine contractions, dilation and effacement of cervix.
The symptoms are given below.
- Positioning of fetus on pelvis parts.
- Ejection of pink or bloody mucus with mucus plug.
- Wavy motion of the cervix followed by cramps.
- Breaking of water or amniotic fluid.
- Cervix effacement and dilation.
It is essential to know the difference between genuine and in genuine labor pain. If you have the above symptoms, then you are having genuine labor pain but in absence of them you might be having some other problem or it may just be another pregnancy symptom. In any case do see a doctor and be sure.
