Is it right to exercise when you are pregnant?
Pregnant women generally keep them aware of the basic health guidelines especially eating healthy diet and taking proper vitamins so that the unborn baby can get the apt nutrition for its growth. But most of them do not even know the importance of exercise during pregnancy. Moderate form of exercise is actually prescribed by obstetricians which has no risk for pregnancy. Doing such exercises will not only improve the health of expectant mother and baby, but also makes the mother’s muscles strong and helps in improving the stamina so as to bear the pain during the birth process.
Some really good options for exercising during pregnancy are yoga, walking, swimming and mild aerobics. However you should not resort to exercises like jumping or taking sit-ups which may be very harmful for your baby. In case you are an active woman prior to getting pregnant, your body may withstand exercises but you should avoid doing them for longer periods.
