Early Signs and Symptoms of Pregnancy

First Signs of PregnancyThe early signs and symptoms of pregnancy vary in intensity, duration and frequency from individual to individual. The following first signs of pregnancy are only guidelines that should be studied and understood. It is seen that early signs of pregnancy are quite the same as that of pre-menstrual discomforts for some women.

Sometimes the symptoms of pregnancy may appear sooner or sometimes later during pregnancy. No specific theory has been still established. The early signs of pregnancy cannot be defined and it is not specific. It depends upon age, physical structure and many other factors and varies from person to person. Signs of pregnancies are their timing is usually different in different people..

1. The obvious and first signs of pregnancy is a missed period. This early signs of pregnancy makes a women explore details about other possible symptoms. Next symptom of pregnancy is seen when women have intuitions that they are carrying, they feel moody, tired or have a dull headache. Simply saying, not your own usual self is one of the pregnancy symptoms.

2. Fatigue and breast tenderness are another common early pregnancy symptoms. You may notice tender breasts during bathing and you may feel tired and exhausted very fast. These early signs of pregnancy are not a cause of concern as they are noticed by most women. Exhaustion occurs because the body goes through a lot of hormonal changes and is getting prepared to handle the little embryo growing inside.

3. Nausea, vomiting and frequent urination are some of other signs of pregnancy. Since the uterus is preparing for the new life inside you, pregnancy often leads to extra body fluids in your system and the uterus puts pressure on your bladder. One of the most common sign of pregnancy is nausea early in the morning especially on an empty stomach. This can be controlled by eating in small portions and drinking fluids first thing in the morning.

4. Some women also feel food cravings and also food aversions. Some pregnant women also develop sensitivity to certain aromas that can cause you to feel nauseated, and this happens because of the estrogen flooding the body. Heartburn and constipation happen rarely and so it cannot be taken for granted symptom of pregnancy. Intake of extra water will cure this problem.

5. High body temperature and low back pain are two signs of pregnancy that are difficult to gauge and are less common in early pregnancy. Bloating and weight gain are two more symptoms of pregnancy associated with food cravings and other supplements that are given for a healthy would-be mother and the expected baby.

When you are in doubt about pregnancy, do the home pregnancy test and confirm the test at the doctors clinic.  The early signs and symptoms of pregnancy may differ for the same person in two different pregnancies. So don’t come to any conclusion before getting the pregnancy tests done.

Note: I have seen that several women with symptoms like white discharge from genital, stomachache, weakness, headache, itching in genitals etc feel that they may be pregnant. This usually is not true as these symptoms typically tell us that you are suffering from some infection.  When in doubt, get a simple urine routine test done at a laboratory near your residence. If you had proper 4-5 days periods after having ipill and then you never had sex thereafter with or without protection then you chances of being pregnant are almost nil. But as you did not get periods for last two months and as you used to get regular periods before so there is a need to get yourself tested for pregnancy.

Also, as you are getting whitish discharge so thats a sign of infection and that asks for routine urine checkup and consultation with a doctor who will prescribe medicine after checking your report and/or examining you.
